The essential edit

Cleansing should remove the day—not your skin’s sense of humour.

Cleansing is necessary; deliberately disrupting the barrier is not. UN/01 uses mild amphoteric and non-ionic surfactants to lift away oil-soluble and water-soluble debris, while glycerin, betaine and panthenol help limit the tight, stripped sensation associated with harsher washes. It is designed as one dependable cleansing step rather than another place to stack acids, fragrance and decorative actives.

  • Removes everyday impurities, excess oil and sunscreen residue without treating cleansing as an exfoliation step
  • A mild, lower-foam surfactant system helps reduce the stripped, tight after-feel associated with aggressive cleansing
  • Humectants and skin-comfort ingredients support softness after rinsing, preparing skin for the steps that follow

What earns its place

  • Glycerin and betaine help attract and retain water
  • Panthenol and allantoin support post-cleanse comfort
  • A mild blend of amphoteric and non-ionic cleansing agents

What it leaves out

  • No added fragrance or essential oils—the cleanser does not need perfume to clean effectively
  • No sodium lauryl sulfate or sodium laureth sulfate in the proposed formula
  • No exfoliating acids, scrub particles or decorative actives competing with its primary job

How to use

Use it
with intention.

Massage one to two pumps over damp face using gentle circular movements. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Use morning and evening. For heavy or water-resistant makeup, remove makeup first and follow with UN/01.

A sensible cleanser should leave skin clean and comfortable—not squeaky, tight or challenged before the rest of the routine begins.
